My Cocking Phone

My phone was returned to me the other day. Well, not “my” phone but the one I sent to them last week, replacement number 2.  They hadn’t bothered to fix it, as soon as I restored all my stuff it crashed and restarted with it’s memory wiped.

I spoke to the “Special Solutions Team*” who were surprisingly helpful, though not quite helpful enough for them to fix my phone it seems.

Someone from the repair shop is supposed to call me, to get it picked up and replaced. I couldn’t just post it in again, as the repair people have a different computer to the Special Solutions Team so they wouldn’t know of our discussions and it might come back still faulty.

Clearly, it’s acceptable for the repair team to fire out shit so long as the Special Solutions Team haven’t intervened. But since they have, I’m supposed to get a “guaranteed” replacement. Guaranteed what, I don’t know.

Anyway, they haven’t phoned me yet… that’s almost 2 months since my phone went tits up…

* (I don’t know if they’re a Solutions Team who are Special, or a Team offering Special Solutions. )

It was great to see John at the weekend, bringing Bride and Best Man together for the first time.

We did culture at the British Museum, then got very, very drunk in a 7 hour session at my boss’ sister’s pub. The end of the night is hazy…
